I was 8-years old in 1977 when Star Wars: Episode IV came to the theaters. I remember standing in line with my mom to watch the movie. It was the first film I ever saw for a second time. The story of Luke, Han, and Leia left such an impression that I went home and wrote my first novel, vowing that I would one day get to play in this universe. In 1993, that dream came true when my first story, "Out of the Cradle" was accepted for publication at WestEnd Games for their Star Wars Adventure Journal. The rest is history. May the Force be with you...always.
I am so excited to get back in the saddle with a brand new story that will be featured with 39 other fabulous writers to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. More details to come…

Starblight Bindery
In the spring of 2022, I was contacted by a Star Wars fan who offered to create a hard-cover collection of my Star Wars stories. They had enjoyed my early tales about Drake Paulsen and Fable Astin, and expressed gratitude for the stories, which had helped them through a difficult time in their life. I said yes, of course, and offered to pay to have such an artifact in my hands. The offer of money was instantly refused.
What arrived five months later exceeded all expectations. At the time I was under siege. Being a teacher is difficult enough post-Covid, but because I supported a crew of brave kids who overturned a racist book ban and because I provided a safe place in my classroom for LGBTQIA+ kids, respecting their preferred pronouns, I was labeled as a danger to kids and even called a groomer by toxic elements in the community.
These hateful individuals doxxed me, spread misinformation, and wanted me terminated. Needless to say, I was in a dark place, exhausted and harried, and then this ray of light found me, assuring me that somethings are worth fighting for. Here is a gallery of the precious relics I received thanks to the kindness, artistry, and imagination of Starblight Bindery.
